The College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) has introduced new requirements for Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE) in Ontario.  As a RECE, you are now required to maintain a Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) Portfolio. “The CPL program is a framework and formal process to help RECEs increase their knowledge and skills and ensure quality professional practice throughout their careers” (CECE, 2018).

As a result of these new expectations, Jodi and Alexandria from the TBDSSAB are facilitating a working group to discuss the CPL program, work together on setting goals, and build our CPL portfolios. If you would like to work on your portfolio with other RECEs, please join us for our CPL Working Group meetings. Please bring any documents you feel may be relevant to your CPL Portfolio.
