“Perhaps it is a condition of our existence that we can best appreciate what we best know.  Until we have tried to paint a tree, play an instrument, build a chair, we may have a level of appreciation of these acts that is sincere but somewhat shallow. What do you think you are appreciated for, as an early childhood educator? What do you want to be appreciated for? Our current situation is making it possible for us to deepen relationships through knowing together.  We can recognize and share what it means to weave a context of relationships, so others can know with us.”
